About us

Chiropractie Aalst-Waalre is part of Medisch Centrum Aalst, where we work in a multidisciplinary setting. At Chiropractie Aalst-Waalre, we value taking time for each patient. Many of the people who visit our practice have already sought help from several other disciplines without finding sufficient relief. That is why we take the time to thoroughly investigate and assess both the complaint and its underlying cause. When available, we request X-rays and MRI scans, or refer for further diagnostics if needed.

Another advantage: we have no waiting list, and you can also book appointments during our evening clinic hours. We aim to help you as quickly as possible at a time that suits you. Our chiropractors are university educated.

Chiropractie Aalst-Waalre offers manual treatment methods for all ages. Our chiropractors treat complaints of the musculoskeletal system, primarily back and neck problems. In addition to neck pain, lower back pain, and mid- and upper-back complaints, chiropractic care can also provide solutions for issues such as headaches, hip pain, or shoulder problems. Not sure if chiropractic is right for your complaint? Feel free to call or email us to discuss your situation with one of our chiropractors, or book a free screening.

In the Netherlands, there are currently about 300 registered chiropractors affiliated with the Dutch Chiropractic Association (NCA). Although chiropractic is still a relatively small profession in the Netherlands, worldwide it is the third-largest healthcare discipline—after medicine and dentistry. In fact, there are more chiropractors globally than physiotherapists.

Education

Chiropractic is a five-year university program. As of now, there is no university in the Netherlands where chiropractic can be studied; most Dutch chiropractors have completed their education in the United Kingdom.

The program is quite similar to medicine, but with a stronger focus on anatomy, orthopedics, neurology, and radiology. This enables chiropractors to competently make independent diagnoses. Depending on the university, the degree awarded is either a Master of Chiropractic (MC) or a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC).
